Information Session on Legislative Updates to Malta’s VAT and Gaming Tax Framework
The Malta Gaming Authority and the Malta Tax and Customs Administration (MTCA) will be jointly hosting a regulatory briefing for stakeholders affected by the forthcoming enhancements to Malta’s VAT and gaming tax frameworks.

The purpose of the session is to:
- explain the recent legislative and related amendments to the VAT and gaming tax regimes;
- provide clarity on their practical application; and
- support stakeholders in preparing for the implementation of these changes ahead of their entry into force on 1 October 2026.
The session will be delivered by officials from both authorities and will focus on ensuring a common understanding of the revised framework, while providing operators with an opportunity to engage directly with the competent authorities.
Attendance to the event will be limited to one representative of each MGA licensed or recognition notice holding group.
Applications to attend must be submitted by Friday, 17 April. Places will be allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Attendance is subject to confirmation by the Authority, which will be communicated via email together with the agenda.
