The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) recognises the use of Qualified Electronic Signatures, as defined in Article 3(12) of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS), for documents submitted as part of its regulatory, supervisory, operational and administrative functions, provided that such signatures satisfy the requirements established under Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS).

Any party submitting documentation with an electronic signature remains responsible for ensuring that the signature used complies with the requirements of the Regulation.

The MGA reserves the right to verify the validity, integrity and authenticity of any electronic signature and may, where appropriate, require additional assurances or a wet-ink signed document. Submissions containing non-compliant or otherwise questionable electronic signatures may be rejected.

The MGA may prescribe specific execution, certification, verification or submission requirements where necessary. This notice comes into place with immediate effect and remains subject to revision by the MGA as necessary.
