Altenar strikes deal with ‘regional heavyweight’ Vinnare in Colombia

Altenar has secured a commercial partnership in the Latin American market, supporting Vinnare Group sportsbook operations in the Colombian betting sector.

The sports betting and igaming platform provider will provide its sportsbook solution to Vinnare, which it has lauded as a ‘regional heavyweight’ in Colombia, having been active in the country since 2019 and gaining a ‘valuable understanding’ of how the market functions and specific customer demands.

These include a customisable back office and front-end layer, as well as widgets and access to AI technologies via Altenar’s arrangement with Oddin.gg, which also provides access to a range of esports products.

Jean Paul Varon, Product & Marketing Director at Vinnare Group’s, said: “Altenar has an incredibly high level of knowledge, know-how, experience and, most importantly, innovation.

“The professionalism and expertise offered by the company is unrivalled and we are excited to see this partnership develop.”

Altenar has identified the Colombian market as one of Latin America’s most prominent betting sectors, having experienced significant growth since the legislation of online gambling in 2016 under the regime of national regulator Coljuegos.

The group has identified the market as ‘the perfect opportunity’ for its partnership with Altenar to meet the demands for the market, as the popularity of esports and virtual sports increases.

“We are delighted to be supplying our top tier sportsbook to Vinnare Group,” remarked Domenico Mazzola, Altenar’s Commercial Director.

“This partnership creates a fantastic chance to collaborate and supply a premium product to the customer base in Colombia as the market continues to grow.”

International expansion, particularly in the Americas, has been on Altenar’s agenda for 2022, as Mazzola outlined in a Q&A interview with SBC News last week

The Commercial Director outlined both the North American markets and European sectors such as Italy, Spain and the UK as key targets. The firm has already built up a strong presence in Europe and South America, but North America is becoming increasingly attractive.

“We know that North American customers have a huge demand for sports betting. So definitely, the opportunities there are quite interesting,” Mazzola explained.

“We are currently evaluating a couple of new and interesting plans for that market. At Altenar, we believe that that market in the future will be very, very interesting for everybody.”
