bet365 celebrates UEFA Champions League deal with Big Ticket Quizaway

bet365 marked its latest activation with the UEFA Champions League with the Big Ticket Quizaway at BOXPark Wembley last week.

Marking the return of the Big Ticket Giveaway for the knockout phase of the Champions League, bet365 welcomed partners to take part in a UCL-themed quiz with the famous arch of Wembley Stadium as a backdrop.

Which two Champions League stars provided a boost from the bench?

Teams participated in the quiz to win four tickets to the Champions League final in Budapest in May. A fiercely battled contest, those in the last two positions of the quiz at the end of the first round received a “Sub On Play On” boost from two Champions League heroes.

William Gallas, the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham defender joined bet365 and its guests to celebrate the partnership and join a team in need of a boost from the substitutes bench.

Meanwhile former Liverpool, Barcelona, Chelsea and Sunderland midfielder Bolo Zenden added some flair to the centre of one of the teams in need of support.

The event was hosted by television presenter Natalie Pike while comedian Lloyd Griffiths was in the roving reporter role, mingling with teams and adding some comedic relief to the competition.

bet365’s PR Operations Manager Jon Riley said: “The Big Ticket Quizaway is just the latest example of the great work we’ve done at bet365 to activate our position as Official Global Partners of the UEFA Champions League. The night was elevated by the presence of UEFA Champions League legends William Gallas and Bolo Zenden with guests treated to stories from their careers, and two lucky teams had a legend join their team, as part of our ‘Sub On Play On’ surprise.

“The whole evening was a celebration of our UEFA Champions League Big Ticket Giveaway and is a powerful example of how live experiences can bring iconic brand sponsorships and partners together.”

What does bet365’s Champions League partnership look like?

bet365 became UEFA’s official betting partner at the beginning of the 2024/35 campaign and as part of the agreement has embarked on its Big Ticket Giveaway campaign.

Since the start of the partnership, approximately 6,000 fans have attended UEFA Champions League matches through the Big Ticket Giveaway, which has attracted almost 1.9 million applications for tickets among bet365 registered users.

The Ballot for Match Week 11 and 12 UEFA Champions League Tickets Opens on 1st March 2026, offering fans the opportunity to attend the round of 16 matches, following next week’s play-offs stage.

Riley added: “The return of the UEFA Champions League knockout stages brings with it the return of the Big Ticket Giveaway. We’re thrilled that customers across many of our live markets will be able to apply for tickets for the round of 16 onwards.

“We will also be activating our Giveaway globally, with members of the public given chances to win tickets in person or via our digital activations.”

As for the quiz itself, four lucky, and brainy, winners took home the prize in the form of tickets for the Champions League final following several challenging and exciting rounds of quizzing action. With star guests and a high profile presenting team, bet365 partners were put through their paces with entertainment and style.

The evening is the latest activation of bet365’s global partnership with the UEFA Champions League. bet365 also gave away UCL tickets at Kings Cross Station in November, and in London and Munich last season.

Riley concluded: “To celebrate our historic Big Ticket Giveaway, we worked alongside Hatch Communications, Drummond Central and Octagon UK to create an event that showcased our global partnership with the UEFA Champions League.

“The Giveaway, in its second year, has seen us give away thousands of tickets across our Big Ticket Giveaway ballot to customers, from almost 1.9 million applications. In total, almost six thousand guests have enjoyed the unrivalled experience of UEFA Champions League football thanks to bet365.

“Only one of our Quizaway teams could win the four tickets to this season’s UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest, but thanks to the amazing atmosphere and bespoke creative within BOXPark, everyone enjoyed a true taste of Europe’s biggest club competition.

“Why a quiz? Well, the traditional pub quiz is a staple of UK culture, just as football is, but we wanted to elevate both, creating an exciting, dynamic event in London that had global relevance.”
