Betby enhances legal oversight with Ilze Ramolina appointment
Ilze Ramolina has joined Betby as a Senior Lawyer, as the company seeks to bolster its legal capacity to better navigate the compliance, certification and licensing landscape.
The sportsbook supplier has underscored a goal of rapidly expanding its legal team in line with continued growth of its international commercial operations, as it looks to establish a foothold in new jurisdictions.
Ramolina will be based out of Betby’s Latvian hub, bringing 20 years experience from across the betting and gaming sector, having worked in both B2C and B2B roles.
Commenting on her position, Ramolina remarked: “I’ve been very lucky throughout my career so far to work for some fantastic companies, and I’m thrilled to be joining Betby.
“An ambitious company with huge plans, it is set to offer some great opportunities and I look forward to being part of the journey. I am very passionate about my work and what I do, which aligns perfectly with the attitude at Betby as we look to maximise our potential.”
Romolina joins Betby as the supplier seeks to maintain momentum on its 2021 commercial performance, having signed two new agreements earlier this month to provide its solution to Hero Gaming and Esports Entertainment Group’s SportNation and Viebet betting brands.
Additionally, the appointment of the new Senior Lawyer follows on from the promotion of Rosaire Galea Cavallaro from Sales Manager to Managing Director, tasked with the responsibility for driving its European commercial expansion as well as the growth of Betby Games esports.
Welcoming Romolina to Betby, Eva Berkova, COO at Betby, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Ilze to the BETBY team. Boasting an incredible track record and great experience across all aspects of the gambling industry, we’re very hopeful that she can apply her expertise to allow us to reach new heights in regulated markets.”
