BetComply adds more layers to compliance team
Regulatory compliance consultancy BetComply has strengthened its team with three new experts as it looks to expand the scope of support available to its clients.
First on the list is someone with a background in corporate law, having previously held senior compliance roles at bet365 and 3 Oaks Gaming.
Tiago Scoda Botelho will now serve as BetComply’s Regulatory and Licensing Compliance Officer, supporting clients across all their regulatory compliance, licensing applications and ongoing global operational needs.
On his appointment, he said: “BetComply has built an excellent reputation for practical, hands-on compliance support. I’m looking forward to helping clients navigate increasingly complex regulatory requirements.”
Next in line is a professional with more than 16 years of risk management experience with a number of gambling firms, including the Dutch state operator Nederlandse Loterij.
Renald Micallef now joins BetComply as an AML and Responsible Gaming Consultant, commemorating his new venture with the following words: “I’m delighted to be joining a team with such deep industry knowledge. BetComply’s approach is focused, pragmatic and closely aligned with what operators actually need.”
Last but not least is another veteran in their field, bringing 17 years of experience of working in international regulated markets, including land-based gaming and iGaming.
Tina Singh has now been named BetComply’s Technical Compliance Consultant, joining the company because in her words, it holds a “strong reputation for combining technical expertise with practical support”.
“I’m excited to bring my experience to the team and help clients meet complex technical compliance requirements across multiple markets,” she added.
Welcoming all three new appointees, Loes Wetzer, Operations Director at BetComply, concluded: “Tiago, Renald and Tina bring significant experience and we’re delighted to have them join BetComply.
“Their appointments add further depth to our team and ensure we can continue providing clients with informed, commercially practical compliance support as regulatory demands evolve.”
