Betsson names GoldenRace virtual supplier for Greek market

Betsson Group and GoldenRace have announced a partnership focusing on Greece, with the latter providing the operator with its virtual sports offering.

As the exclusive virtual sports provider of the Swedish international gambling group for the Greek market, GoldenRace has further bolstered its position in the recently regulated sector.

The company – which acquired a licence from the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) last year – will provide Betsson with its virtual sports and games products via an aggregator platform.

“The Greek gambling market is growing fast and offers exciting opportunities,” commented Martin Wachter, GoldenRace CEO and Founder.

“We knew that when we first started operations in the country, and it is amazing to join forces with Betsson, to keep offering Greek players our leading virtuals.”

Marking an expansion of GoldenRace’s presence in the Greek market, the deal is the firm’s second such agreement in as many months, following on from a partnership inked in April with Spanish online betting and casino operator Paston.es.

Meanwhile, for Betsson the deal represents an expansion of its offering in the Greek market after it also made its operational debut in the country last year, receiving a licence from the HGC in June.

Speaking to SBC News shortly after the firm’s market entry, Betsson Greece Managing Director Thanos Marinos and Group Chief Commercial Officer Ronni Hartvig described the Greek betting space as one which could ‘contribute to our overall business significantly’.

Commenting on Betsson’s incorporation of GoldenRace products, Marinos remarked: “At Betsson, we are always listening to our customers’ needs and wants and we constantly strive to provide the very best entertainment to our clients.

“Bringing in new and fresh content is a big part of what we do, and I would like to welcome GoldenRace to our product portfolio, which I am sure our customers will find as a great addition to our existing offering.”
