BHA launches new CareersinRacing.com portal 

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has relaunched the jobs board of CareersinRacing.com to help fill open vacancies across UK racing’s value chain.

The new portal is free to all racing employers, who will be able to list and better inform audiences of current opportunities to work in racing.

A new look CareersinRacing.com has been launched during National Careers Week – a UK-wide business initiative that promotes employment guidance and free resources to individuals seeking to change careers.

Benefitting audiences CareersinRacing.com new portal includes – improved site filters, advanced search functions, quick registration and on-page information.

Employers recruiting for roles will also benefit from increased functionality, allowing job adverts to be posted and amended more easily, and the ability to create a company profile to give more insight into working in their business areas. 

The BHA noted that last year over 2,000 jobs were posted on the portal and that on average job-seekers can find 178 opportunities a month available on-site. 

Of significance UK racing continues to diversify its workforce make-up, promoting inclusion and social mobility as key directives of the ‘Racing Together’ campaign. 

BHA Head of Careers Marketing and Recruitment, Zoe Elliott, said: “We are delighted to welcome job seekers and employers to the brand-new and improved Careersinracing job board.

“It felt important to continue to invest in the user experience, as we saw growth in both the number of registered job seekers and sessions on the website in 2021.

“The new site provides an improved and more modern job board experience, making it faster and easier to connect job seekers with prospective employers – and ultimately giving people the opportunity to start or progress their rewarding career in racing.”
