Codere Online launches broadcast channel with Mexican media giant Multimedios

Spain-headquartered entertainment and sports betting firm Codere Online has launched Codere RGTV, the new sports channel in Nuevo León, together with Multimedios.

The company, which is a big player across the Latin America region, launches the channel in the Mexican state just weeks after marking its 10-year anniversary as the official betting partner of footballing giant Real Madrid.

It is also the official betting house of decorated Mexican side Club de Futbol Monterrey and has sponsored Rayados and Rayadas since 2021.

“We are extremely pleased to announce this partnership with Multimedios after a long period of work and planning to bring this channel to fruition,” said Silvia Martínez, Marketing Manager at Codere Online.

“This synergy reinforces our commitment to the Mexican market to continue offering quality content to all our customers and sports fans.”

Codere’s recent records

Codere Online said that it will continue to communicate its differentiated offer and content of interest to the entire region.

The business has seen revenue growth over the past year, reporting a rise of 6% from €212m to €224m (£195.2m) in 2025.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, its net gaming revenue reached €60.7m, marking the highest quarterly figure in the company’s history.

The deal also comes despite a hike in gaming tax in Mexico, which increased from 30% to 50% at the beginning of 2026. The country is set for a blockbuster sporting year as one of the three countries hosting the World Cup this summer.

For Multimedios’ part, the deal marks a continued expansion in the broadcast industry in Mexico. The business has been operating for over 85 years and is one of the country’s largest media conglomerates.

Alberto Villarreal, Commercial Vice President of Multimedios, commented: “Launching this channel in partnership with Codere Online is the right step to make this project a reality.

“We expect to be audience leaders, as we have been in radio for so many years, and to continue leading the way in sports content throughout the region.”
