Digitain brings sportsbook platform to 888 Romania
Digitain has strengthened its position in Romania by announcing a new partnership with Evoke brand 888 Romania.
The operator will now be powered by Digitain’s sportsbook solution, which will enhance the player experience by providing a customisable platform tailored for local demands.
Vardges Vardanyan, Founder of Digitain, commented: “We are proud to partner with 888 Romania and provide them with our industry-leading Sportsbook.
“This collaboration reflects Digitain’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, flexible, and fully customizable sportsbook technology for leading operators across regulated markets.
“By combining our expertise with 888 Romania’s strong market presence, we are confident this partnership will elevate the betting experience, offer unparalleled value to players, and set a new standard for sportsbook solutions in the region.”
Further commenting on the deal was Dragos Buriu, Founder and Director of NGS – the owner of 888 Romania, which again is under the Evoke umbrella since it was acquired in 2024.
Buriu was quick to point out that by onboarding Digitain’s sportsbook platform, 888 Romania has significantly boosted its long-term competitiveness in the market.
“Partnering with Digitain is a strategic step in enhancing our sports offering for Romanian players on 888.ro,” Buriu said.
“Digitain’s bespoke technology, flexibility, and deep market expertise will allow us to deliver an even stronger and more localized sports betting experience.
“This partnership ensures that our platform remains competitive, innovative, and aligned with player expectations. We look forward to a successful collaboration that benefits both our companies.”
Rapidly evolving regulations in Romania, especially around marketing, means that the above mentioned competitive edge is certainly needed not only by 888 Romania, but also by all licensed operators currently in the market.
The prominence of gambling advertising has repeatedly come under fire over recent months, with the latest calls for urgent reforms coming from the Romanian branch of international NGO Save the Children.
In a roundtable discussion with policymakers, representatives of the organisation listed a number of proposals aimed at reducing gambling-related risks for children, including a blanket ban on all promotional materials and bringing the minimum gambling age up to 21.
