Evergreen: smart approach required to unlock astounding AI capabilities

AI continues to dominate many conversations within the global iGaming landscape, but how do you fully harness the power of emerging technologies to truly make a difference? In a landscape flooded with promises of transformation, Evergreen aims to stand apart by delivering results rooted in talent and powered by tech.

The Insight Global professional services division aims to help organisations move beyond AI pilots for real enterprise impact, in addition to offering a variety of services and solutions to allow clients to scale efficiently without sacrificing quality.

Whether it’s enabling a Fortune 100 telecom leader to achieve a 40% efficiency gain through GenAI-powered QA agents or accelerating a Fortune 100 agriculture company’s cloud migration by 52%, Evergreen doesn’t just consult, they catalyse.

Their agentic AI solutions are already powering some of the world’s most iconic tech brands, while their global delivery model spans across continents, placing thousands of consultants and executing hundreds of international engagements. From modernising legacy systems to optimizing data center capacity with 98% SLA compliance, Evergreen looks to transform complexity into clarity, and ambition into ROI.

Cecil Stokes, Technology Industry Principal, at Evergreen.

In conversation with SBC News, Technology Industry Principal, Cecil Stokes, addresses just how the division’s human-centric approach, global scale, and technical depth are helping enterprise clients stay ahead of the curve, and why the smartest investments in AI start with understanding your business, not just the technology.

SBCN: Coming from one of the big four and having witnessed Evergreen’s evolution firsthand over the past eight years, what are you most proud of in how your services have matured to meet the complex needs of enterprise clients?

Cecil Stokes: I’m most proud of the fact that we’ve grown our capabilities (in scale and depth) while continuing to strengthen our greatest differentiator, our human-centricity.

Over the past few years, we’ve expanded operations to cover over 100 countries, opened a new delivery center in Hyderabad, and ventured into the product space with bleeding edge agentic AI capabilities.

In parallel, we’ve invested to build an area of our business dedicated to consultant engagement and an area around how to develop and sustain excellent cultures that put people first.

There are many participants in the professional services space. I’m proud of the fact that we’ve held onto that identity as a ‘people first’ and ‘culture forward’ company while becoming a strong technical services player with global scale. I believe our people and our clients benefit equally from us maintaining that balance.

SBCN: What trends in tech are you most excited about, and how is Evergreen helping clients stay ahead of the curve?

CS: We’re experiencing where the advancement of AI capabilities is connecting with the most valuable enterprise use cases and helping to push both curves forward.

That’s exciting work because we get to develop the tech and educate the business. That’s the best place for us to reside to maximise our value to our clients.

Investing in emerging technology is a risk that our clients are committing to at a fast pace. I love being the partner that makes sure both the technology, and the business objectives of these initiatives, create a value story that makes good on those investments.

Perhaps the best part about this is that we get to activate those parts of our business across so many different industries. It adds to the fun coming into work every day and creates a greenhouse effect for growing our technical capabilities with such a diverse set of use cases.

SBCN: What advice would you give to casino gaming executives evaluating professional services partners in today’s landscape? What should they look for and what should they avoid?

CS: We’re in the midst of a significant innovation cycle with AI. Previous innovation cycles have taught us that staying business-centric when making big investments is important. Work with partners that start with understanding your business, understanding your culture and your clients, then get into the technological possibilities that lie ahead.

Too often, companies get coaxed into ambitious technology initiatives for technology’s sake in these early stages of the innovation cycle. The disillusionment comes when the tech doesn’t provide the ‘cure all’ solution it was supposed to.

AI is no different. The capabilities are astounding. Those capabilities are unlocked with a smart approach to talent, process, and culture alongside the technology. Work with the partner that has a track record of bringing focus to all 4 of those elements.
