Jake Pollard uncovers that c-level iGaming executive Andrew Cochrane will lead Soft2Bet’s B2B commercial and corporate development efforts

Andrew Cochrane, the former Chief Business Officer (CBO) at Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), is joining the iGaming software provider Soft2Bet where he will lead the company’s business development, commercial and corporate strategic efforts, Gaming&Co can exclusively reveal.

The news will be officially announced this morning by Soft2Bet, and will reveal that Cochrane will lead the group’s sales, commercial, customer success and corporate development teams in regulated markets worldwide. As part of his new role, Cochrane will also be involved in the company’s joint venture, M&A and investment projects as he oversees Soft2Bet’s expansion. This will include the company’s core online casino activities, as well as sports betting solutions through partnership with a range of sportsbook suppliers.

Speaking to SBC and Gaming&Co, Cochrane said: “Joining Soft2Bet represents a compelling opportunity. The scale of the group’s expansion plans will see me involved in strategic initiatives that drive sustainable growth, operational scalability and the delivery of best-in-class iGaming products. This is a challenge I could not refuse, and I look forward to continue building and strengthening the teams to successfully execute these plans.”

Soft2Bet launched in 2016 and has grown significantly since then. It is active in Denmark and Sweden, where its Betinia and Campobet brands have become established players in the market, with the former reaching double-digit market share and recently signing Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone as a brand ambassador. In recent years Soft2Bet has launched consumer brands in Greece and Romania and has further launch plans in other European markets. In 2024 the group signed a market access agreement with Caesars Entertainment in New Jersey and is already live in Ontario, Canada, with its brand Tooniebet.

GiG turnaround

Cochrane’s move comes as GIG revealed that new client launches and cost reductions helped it deliver 31% growth in Q3 revenues to €9.5m. With the company preparing for a strong commercial pipeline in 2026, one industry source told G&Co that “the solid turnaround work undertaken by CEO Richard Carter and Cochrane since joining the group in 2023 means the company is on the right track”.

As part of his work at GIG, Cochrane enabled the group to enter the Philippines’ regulated market thanks to a partnership with Solaire Resorts, the company also announced a new partnership with UK broadcaster ITV and signed the Belgian casino operator Golden Palace for launch in France in 2026. Prior to working at GIG, Cochrane worked at SBTech and helped the group sign tier-1 clients of Finnish monopoly Veikkaus and Sweden’s Svenska Spel.
