Genius Sports launches Oddschecker-style prediction markets comparison site

Genius Sports has made a major leap in prediction markets via the launch of a dedicated platform, enabled via a $1.2bn (£750m) acquisition it embarked on earlier this year.

The London sportstech has used the Legend media network it acquired back in February 2026 to launch Prediction.com, a comparison website collating information from major prediction market platforms.

It can be expected that the platform will function like Oddschecker, the leading odds comparison affiliate website for betting companies. The site currently displays data from 11 apps, including Kalshi, Polymarket, Novig, Underdog, FanDuel Predicts and Fanatics.

The meteoric rise of prediction markets in the US – a rise which has driven target valuations of $40bn for Kalshi and $22bn for Polymarket – has caught Genius Sports’ attention, and that of its competitors like Sportradar for that matter.

Genius’ leadership sees huge growth potential and opportunity for its sports technology and data collection services in the prediction markets space.

The similarities between betting and prediction markets are a key reason for this (many regulators and companies in the regulated betting space would argue there is little to no difference).

Mark Locke, Genius’ Chief Executive Officer, wrote this week that he sees prediction markets as a “net benefit” for the company, though also noting that the sector isswaiting some regulatory decision making.

“I believe they create more businesses to supply, more ways to monetise the same sports activity and more competition for the customers we help operators win,” Locke wrote.

“Most of the demand they have surfaced appears new.”

Platform launch an example of Genius and Legend synergies

The Prediction.com platform will showcase live game data with real-time prediction market pricing for sports, displaying probabilities, prices and market signals.

Genius intends for it to become a “single destination” for consumers to discover markets to trade (or some would say bet) on.

The launch marks not only a leap for Genius as it continues to take steps on its predictions market vision, but also a significant one for Legend. The takeover of Legend earlier this year was turbulent for Genius, leading to a loss in market confidence that saw a drop in share price.

Genius leadership remained adamant throughout this that Legend was an ideal asset for the company, with Locke and others labelling the market reaction a misinterpretation of Legend as a simple affiliate business.

Prediction.com’s launch shows Genius is more than willing to experiment with its new media asset.
