Genius Sports ups Americas profile with Rei do Pitaco & MEDIAPRO deals
Genius Sports boosts its commercial presence in Latin America’s emerging sports betting market striking two major technology partnerships in just two days.
In Brazil, the technology provider teamed up with Rei do Pitaco, the market’s leading fantasy sports platform. Genius Sports is charged with powering Rei do Pitaco ongoing online sportsbook expansion.
The deal will see Rei do Pitaco secure a full-service sportsbook platform supported by Genius Sports official data and in-play trading services for major global sports leagues, such as the Premier League, Italian Serie A, NFL, AFA, Liga MX, and Brasileirão Série A.

Additionally, Rei do Pitaco will gain access to the Genius BetVision tech stack, which offers sportsbook users an interactive in-play experience that combines live streams with dynamic stats overlays, customisable viewing modes, and integrated betting features.
Furthermore, Genius will also devise digital advertising and programmatic campaigns around key sporting moments from the biggest sports leagues to drive new user registrations and increase deposits for Rei do Pitaco – at a time when the Brazilian market continues input new compliance demands, with the latest developments planning for a self-exclusion system by the end of 2025.

On-site for offsides
Next up is a partnership whose scale encompasses the whole of South America, with Genius Sports striking a deal with audiovisual production firm MEDIAPRO.
Through the deal, Genius will supply MEDIAPRO with its proprietary semi-automated offside technology (SAOT) for two major CONMEBOL finals in November – with MEDIAPRO the official VAR partner of the football governing body.
Already in use across the English Premier League and the Belgian Pro League, SAOT will now be available for both the Copa Sudamericana Final between Club Atlético Lanús and Atlético Mineiro on 22 November, as well as the Copa Libertadores Final between Palmeiras and Flamengo on 29 November.
Genius has already installed its computer vision cameras in both of the hosting stadiums, which will capture mesh tracking data and feed it into GeniusIQ – an AI-based sports data platform that will automate the kick point and alert CONMEBOL’s VAR operators when an offside is registered. The platform will then create a real-time 3D render of the exact incident.
