GR8 Tech partners BongoBongo for Africa sportsbook rollout
GR8 Tech has strengthened its market share in Africa by partnering with African iGaming brand BongoBongo.
The operator is active in Uganda, Zambia, Tanzania, and Kenya, and will now be able to introduce players in these markets to GR8 Tech’s ULTIM8 Sportsbook.
BongoBongo will simultaneously have its live operations powered by GR8 Tech’s iFrame integration while also leveraging the sportsbook provider’s robust backend API infrastructure.
Randy Heyrowsky, CEO of BongoBongo, commented: “As we continue to grow across Africa and expand our local teams, having a high-performance sportsbook that complements our casino-first strategy is key.
“GR8 Tech gives us exactly that: the freedom to shape our frontend on top of a powerful, scalable engine. With the ULTIM8 solution and API, we’re ready to raise the bar for our players.”
GR8 Tech’s technology already has a proven track record of being capable to address market nuances in Africa such as older devices, slow networks, and limited bandwidth, overcoming such challenges to deliver optimised speed and performance.
A separate front-end partnership with a regional operator from 2024 brought back increased conversion rates from registration to first deposit by 12%, as well as an uptick in user retention from 10% to 25%.
Yevhen Krazhan, CSO at GR8 Tech, added: “Every market has its own demands, and success comes from listening closely and building accordingly. With Africa, we’ve proven that smart technical decisions drive long-term value.
“Now, with BongoBongo, we’re doubling down on that principle. They have bold plans and deep market insight, and we’re excited to support their next phase with tech that’s fast, flexible, and built to scale with their vision.”
Vision plays a core role in GR8 Tech’s ambitions to support operators in emerging markets such as BongoBongo. And even the best vision cannot be achieved without hands-on configuration of the platform you want to launch.
The company aims to provide its partners best in-class tools to mold their vision into reality. For SBC News, Kateryna Pozdnysheva, Chief Client Officer at GR8 Tech, said: “Operators sometimes treat the platform configuration as a ticking-box exercise, instead of aligning this each time.
“You need to be involved in this because it’s really important to understand and tune each time for your players based on what they want. Particularly if it’s a new market for you, you need to be really involved in this process.”
