IGT to support Singapore Pools with multiple lottery solutions

International Game Technology (IGT) has secured an agreement contract with the Singapore Pools via its IGT Global Services subsidiary, providing its lottery solutions. 

The six-year contract will see IGT leverage its central lottery system Aurora and associated technologies to work towards boosting the lottery innovation and profitability of the Singapore Pools. 

In addition, IGT and Singapore Pools also aim to strengthen the reliability of the latter’s “high volume of transaction”, as it functions as the state-owned lottery company of Singapore, and the only firm legally allowed to offer lottery in the country. 

“IGT’s positive reputation and its global success in providing performance-driving solutions gives Singapore Pools the confidence that our lottery operations are powered by industry-leading technology,” said Lam Chee Weng, Singapore Pools’ Chief Executive Officer.

“We have trusted IGT’s technology since 1986 when Singapore Pools became the first computerised lottery in Southeast Asia, and we look forward to continuing our long-time partnership for the next six years.”

In pursuit of its objective, IGT will also utilise its Aurora Navigator, Data Connector and Aurora Anywhere solutions to complement the Aurora central system, along with maintenance and marketing support and operator training. 

Aurora Navigator will offer Singapore Pools a single place to view, manage and administer lottery applications and back-office functions, whilst Data Connector functions as a plug-and-play platform to strengthen efficiency and speed of data integration and analysis. 

Lastly, IGT’s Aurora Anywhere will serve as a “secure gateway” for Singapore Pools, allowing for external applications to connect to the Aurora core lottery system in order to provide “opportunities for expanded game play”.

IGT’s Global Lottery segment remained its most dominant product vertical in its full year trading report for 2021 with revenues of $2.68 billion, although the firm noted that its Digital & Betting division experienced the greatest growth with income of $163 million.
