Kaizen Gaming adds HR experience to leadership team
Kaizen Gaming has appointed Vassilis Gavroglou as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). The move comes as the Athens-headquartered GameTech company continues to grow its workforce across Europe and Latin America.
The operator employs more than 2,700 staff from 40 nationalities in 19 countries. Gavroglou will be tasked with overseeing people strategy and HR operations during what the firm describes as a period of international expansion.
Kaizen Gaming CEO, George Daskalakis, said: “People have always been at the heart of our company, and we know that long-term success starts with taking care of our own. In less than a decade, Kaizen Gaming has grown from just a few dozen people in Greece to a thousands-strong international brigade while maintaining strong growth every year.
“This rapid expansion brings both opportunities and challenges, especially as we keep a firm eye on preserving and strengthening our people-first culture across our global footprint. With Vassilis joining as CHRO, a leader with deep expertise in transformation and talent development, I am confident we will enhance our people strategy and further support our international growth ambitions.”
Background in HR leadership
Gavroglou has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, covering sectors such as energy, technology, banking and consulting. His previous positions include CHRO at Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems, HR Executive Director at OTE Group, and Group HR Strategy Director at the National Bank of Greece.
He studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business and the London School of Economics.
Gavroglou added: “I am excited to join Kaizen Gaming, a company that not only innovates in technology but has been recognised as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Europe and has been certified as a Great Place to Work in many countries.
“The rapid expansion of the company into new markets creates a unique opportunity to build on a culture that invests in the development of its people and continues to attract the best in a rapidly changing technological backdrop. Further strengthening the high levels of people engagement, talent development and the digitalisation of HR operations are key to supporting Kaizen Gaming’s vision for sustainable innovation and global growth.”
Recent Danish move
Kaizen Gaming has recently stepped up activity in Denmark, where its Betano brand has signed a deal to become the official betting partner of the 3F Superliga from the 2025/26 season.
The company has already worked with several Danish clubs since entering the market in 2024. Denmark has been open to international gambling operators since 2012.
