Kambi guarantees Day-1 presence for Ontario partners
Kambi Group Plc has communicated to its North American sportsbook partners that it has secured its ‘day-1 presence’ for the launch of Ontario’s online gambling regime on 4 April
The Stockholm-listed sportsbook technology supplier has obtained its trusted supplier accreditation by provincial regulator the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The approval will allow Kambi to supply its sportsbook software solution to province-approved businesses that have secured licences with AGCO’s remote gambling subsidiary iGaming Ontario (iGO).
“Kambi received confirmation from the AGCO of its registration as a Gaming-Related Supplier effective from 4 April 2022, the date when regulated online single-event wagering launches in Canada’s most populous province,” – read the North American market update.
Last month, Kambi announced that it had won the lead supplier agreement to provide its sportsbook solution to province-based igaming and sports media incumbent NorthStar Gaming – which are currently preparing to launch its NorthStarBets brand for Ontario’s new marketplace.
Further Kambi sportsbook partners that are seeking to launch in Ontario in 2022 include – LeoVegas AB, 888sport, MaximBet and Kindred Group’s flagship Unibet brand
Kristian Nylén, Kambi Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, said: “I am delighted that Kambi has become one of the first sportsbook providers to obtain registration from the AGCO.
“This landmark achievement is a testament to Kambi’s expertise and exemplary track record in compliance, and we are excited to be in a position to deliver our market-leading sportsbook technology to our partners’ customers in Ontario from day one.”
