SBC adds five new team members in ongoing recruitment drive

SBC has made five new appointments as the gambling industry events and media business continues to invest in strengthening its team to support its ambitious 2022 growth plans.

The new additions take the company past 75 employees and it is recruiting for a further 15 newly-created positions in the first quarter of the year, with vacancies in the conference production, events, marketing, media and operator relationship teams.

The recruitment drive comes as the company looks to build on the successful return of its in-person events last year by organising a full schedule that includes CasinoBeats Summit, Betting on Sports Europe, SBC Summit North America, SBC Summit Barcelona, SBC Summit CIS and SBC Summit Latinoamérica.

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, said: “We enjoyed a great second half of 2021 and have exciting plans for 2022. To help us achieve them we’ve created a number of important new jobs in the company and are looking for skilled, ambitious people to join the team.

“If you are keen to develop your skills and build a long-term career with a fast-growing company in an exciting industry, and want to be part of a success story, we’d love to hear from you.”

The five new team members include Netta Manninen, who joins the SBC team in Malta as an Affiliate Relationship Manager, and Rob McLoughlin, a Video Content Producer based in the Manchester office.

Lucy Leech has arrived as Awards Manager to work on SBC’s industry awards shows in Malta, New York, Barcelona and Miami. Joining her in the company’s London head office are Senior Marketing Executive Jamie Gough and Finance Assistant Raam Pankhania.

Sojmark added: “I’m delighted to welcome Netta, Rob, Lucy, Jamie and Raam to the team, and looking forward to seeing them contributing to the delivery of some fantastic events this year.

“Making SBC a great place to work has been a priority for us over the last few years, and we’ve developed a culture that is supportive, encouraging, empowers people to develop their skills, and combines hard work with fun. So I’m sure all five of our new team members will enjoy their new jobs.”

The growth has also created opportunities for internal promotions, including Chris Murphy’s step up to the key role of Media Director.

A long-serving editor within SBC’s rapidly-growing media division, Murphy’s new role will see him oversee the successful delivery of content and advertising services to customers across a network of ten betting and gaming industry news websites.
