SBC Summit Malta 2026 Agenda – merging strategy and practice

SBC Summit Malta 2026 will redefine the conference experience through a blend of strategy and practice, with the closing day devoted exclusively to workshops.

Returning to the InterContinental Malta from 28–30 April, the summit goes beyond learning to connect 6,000 senior executives for three days of strategic networking and product exploration at Europe’s iGaming hub.

Building on its 2025 transformation into SBC Summit Malta, the 2026 edition will strengthen its coverage of marketing, affiliation, casino and betting product innovation, regulation, and compliance. However, this time, delegates will experience a dual-structure programme that blends theory with real-world application, featuring strategic discussions on day one and practical workshops on day two.

The programme will span three stages: Marketing, Product, and Compliance & Regulation, running concurrently with two workshop rooms. The first day will feature panels, think tanks, and fireside chats, while the second will focus entirely on workshops to put day-one insights into practice.

“At most industry events, people talk about presence. ‘I was there,’ they’ll say,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of SBC. “We want to shift that thinking a bit and focus on participation, not just showing up and listening.”

Marketing will take the spotlight with a refreshed, story-driven format. The Marketing Unplugged track will open with Mastermind Hour, a high-level discussion bringing together leaders from Meta, TikTok, and Google. From there, The CEO Chat Show will feature betting industry chiefs sharing lessons in leadership and innovation, before The CMO Review offers an honest look at what defines great campaigns in regulated markets.

Complementing the headline sessions are panels on spend efficiency, brand building, and personalisation, while Day Two’s Marketing in Action workshops will bring those ideas to life through practical exercises on influencer marketing, retention, and AI-driven strategies.

Innovation will also sit at the heart of this year’s agenda, with sports betting and iGaming brought together under the Product Visionaries and Product in Practice tracks. Day one delves into ideas redefining the player experience, including gamification, crypto casinos, the rise of niche sports, and the global spotlight of the 2026 World Cup. Day two takes a more hands-on approach, guiding delegates through workshops on data-driven decision-making, partnership dynamics, and the creative formats shaping tomorrow’s entertainment products.

Europe’s regulatory, compliance, and security landscape will be the focus of the third stage, giving delegates the knowledge to strengthen platforms, prevent fraud, and protect players. The opening day will cover cybersecurity in iGaming, fintech’s role in preventing fraudulent payments, and strategies for navigating tax reforms. Experts will also discuss how operators can use data to boost operational intelligence and stay ahead of regulatory change. Day two will feature workshops on AI-driven player protection, building secure and scalable infrastructures, and developing future-ready payment systems.

In addition to the main conference stages, the summit will feature two workshop rooms, focused on distinct industry pillars:

  • Purpose, Policy & PR – exploring how brands navigate reputation, purpose, and public perception through sessions on crisis communications, ESG, and storytelling in a regulated age.
  • Digital Powerhouses – spotlighting the platforms driving discovery and engagement, with workshops led by Google, Meta, and TikTok experts.
  • Future-Ready Leadership: Tech, Talent & Transformation – addressing the people side of innovation through sessions on AI in HR, leadership resilience, and employee wellbeing.
  • Affiliates Reinvented – analysing how regulation, technology, and emerging markets are reshaping the affiliate landscape, from SEO disruption to new global growth frontiers.

“What makes this event special is its focus on progress,” said Sojmark. “We’re bringing the industry together not just to talk about change, but to be part of it.”
