SoftSwiss receives green light to enter Serbian market

SoftSwiss has continued to expand into regulated markets after receiving a betting and casino licence in Serbia.

The licence, which will run for 10 years, was issued by the Games of Chance Administration (GCA), which forms part of Serbia’s Ministry of Finance and Economy.

As a result, SoftSwiss is now permitted to organise special games of chance online – having become the first company in Serbia licensed to operate exclusively online.

Ivan Montik, Founder of SoftSwiss, commented: “Entering the Serbian market is another important step towards strengthening and expanding the SoftSwiss brand in Europe. We were the first to be licensed as a purely online operator rather than growing out of the classic land-based casino model.

“Having more than 10 years of experience in online entertainment, strong team, energy, drive and innovative approach in our DNA I can say that SoftSwiss will deliver the best online solutions for operators and players in the market.

“And given that Serbia, its history and national mentality have always been close to Belarusians, we are confident that the presence on the market will be easy and successful.”

In order to receive a licence for the Serbian market, SoftSwiss’ online platform had to undergo certification from a “competent state laboratory”.

“This year is notable for several big milestones that allowed SoftSwiss to gain a foothold on local markets, where we see great potential for growth,” Montik continued.

“In addition to Serbia, the brand was successfully licensed in Nigeria and Greece. All these milestones are a part of the company’s global development strategy aimed at expanding the SoftSwiss brand’s presence on local markets.”
