Stake.com commences UK sports betting and casino operations
Stake.com has made its debut in the UK market, officially launching its site in the country after earlier securing a UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) licence.
The site will run in partnership with TGP Europe, which will power sportsbook, casino and gaming products, as part of its global expansion plans beyond its core Latin American and Canadian markets and operated by its Australia and Serbia-based teams.
Furthermore, the operator has detailed plans for the launch of “unique and exclusive betting markets and propositions” for its new UK customers, including esports, entertainment and political events.
“Following a successful launch our UK-facing and licensed website stake.uk.com is now live, offering sportsbook, casino and gaming products to the UK,” said Dominic Rae, Sponsorships Manager for Stake.com.
“Customers will have access to a range of sportsbook markets including odds coverage of unique betting events in esports as well as a full suite of responsible gambling tools, designed to offer a safe and entertaining experience to all customers.”
Founded in 2017, Stake.com has previously moved to strengthen its UK brand presence via a sponsorship arrangement with Premier League club Watford FC, covering the ongoing 2021/22 season. The site will offer fans of the team a ‘Stake x Watford First Goal Payout’ promotion, paying out on all bets on a Watford victory should the Hornets score first in any game and fail to win.
Finally, the company has pledged to adhere to responsible gambling standards, using deposit limits, timetouts and self-exclusion tools and systems. The company is also a member of the Crypto Gambling Foundation and operates in line with the group’s fairness and transparency requirements.
However, although known for its crypto-betting operations, Stake.com has detailed: “Stake.com’s UK offering will not accept cryptocurrency payments or transactions, processing all payments in fiat currency only in line with UK licensing regulations.”
