WPT to showcase Web 3.0 built Global Platform at ICE 2022
The World Poker Tour (WPT) will unveil its new global poker platform WPT Global and further innovations at next week’s ICE London 2022 Totally Gaming Conference (12-to-14 April).
Global gambling’s biggest expo will see the WPT showcase its new technology unit spearheaded by innovation studio Kashxa Co, which has been charged with re-imagining poker experiences and engagements for a new generation of audiences.
Recognised as the most prestigious organiser of pro-poker tournaments, the WPT will launch its new custom-built ‘WPT Global Platform’ that will provide the fairest of competing environments for cash games and tournaments accomodating all levels of poker fans.
Marked as a major directive, the WPT Global Platform will initially be launched in the markets of Brazil, LatAm (excluding Mexico) and Canada (excluding the province of Ontario).
The launch of WPT Global aims to place poker at the forefront of disruptive Web 3.0 innovations. Preparing for change, last month, the WPT announced the launch of its ‘Poker Heroes Club’ – pro-poker’s first NFT community powered by GAMAVRS.
The Poker Heroes Club has been integrated directly with the WPT Global enabling players to use the NFT avatars in poker games and to further compete for once in a lifetime prizes.
WPT Global will launch with a new stable of poker ambassadors to engage with all generations of poker fans including legendary WPT tournament host Vince Van Patten, poker pros Lynn Gilmartin, Tony Dunst and superstar DJ Steve Aoki.
Finally, as an ICE London exclusive, WPT Global has partnered with VR specialist Wingsuit to showcase delegates with its epic poker-themed VR experience.
During the conference, delegates will be able to participate in the ‘WPT Global Wingsuit VR Challenge Championship’, where an ICE attendee will take possession of an exclusive Poker Heroes NFT.
