Cancellation of Authorisation of Winzon Group Limited (C-89900)
The Malta Gaming Authority is proceeding with the cancellation of authorisation bearing reference number MGA/B2C/717/2019 issued to Winzon Group Limited (the ‘Company’), effective as of 11 March 2026.
This is being done in accordance with the proviso to reg. 10 (2) (b) of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations (S.L. 583.06).
Pursuant to the foregoing decision, the Company is hereby being directed to action the below:
- Duly notify all players of the cancellation via electronic mail, and by means of the Company’s website/s for a period of 30 days;
- Refund all player monies to the legitimate players accordingly and in line with the Gaming Act (Chapter 583 of the Laws of Malta) (the ‘Act’) and the regulatory instruments issued thereunder;
- Submit to the Authority a transaction report extracted from their back-end system together with the supporting bank statements, attesting that all player funds have been duly remitted to the registered players;
- Process personal data in accordance with its privacy policy and with any applicable data protection legislation. The Company shall also bring to the players’ attention the manner in which it shall process all player data further to the termination of the authorisation;
- Remove with immediate effect any reference to the Authority and the authorisation in accordance with article 51 of the Act;
- Settle outstanding fees amounting to forty-six thousand, six hundred and ninety-three Euro and twenty-three cents (€46,693.23) that are due to the Authority, constituting the annual licence fee and the minimum compliance contributions owed in terms of the Gaming Licence Fees Regulations (S.L. 583.03); and
- In addition to the foregoing, the Authority is hereby issuing administrative penalties amounting to one hundred and forty-seven thousand and eighty Euro (€147,080) in terms of art. 25 (3) of the Act and reg. 8 (1) (d) of the Regulations due to the Company’s numerous shortcomings in contravention of the Act and regulatory instruments issued thereunder.
The Company shall remain liable for all applicable obligations emanating from the Act and any other applicable regulatory instrument. The Authority reserves the right to take any other pertinent measures at law in order to recover the outstanding dues to it from the Company should the latter fail to rectify accordingly.
