888’s SI Sportsbook ‘powers consumer deposits’ in Nuvei partnership

888 has announced its partnership with Nuvei, a payment processing company, which will provide a payment solution for the betting company’s recently launched SI Sportsbook.

In alliance, Nuvei is to supply it’s instant bank payment solution to 888 in order to ‘power consumer deposits’ to the sportsbook platform, ‘providing seamless, real-time’ bank account funding.

Yaniv Sherman, SVP Head of US at 888, commented: “Following the announcement of our strategic partnership with Sports Illustrated, we are thrilled to offer Nuvei’s innovative services to sportsbook fans.”

In June, 888 partnered with Authentic Brands Group (ABG), the owner of Sports Illustrated (SI) to launch the sports betting platform SI Sportsbook.

“With high-growth opportunities across the U.S, partnering with Nuvei enables us to enhance the player experience and further the position of SI Sportsbook as a cutting-edge platform in the market,” Sherman continued.

888 acquired a license for the use of the SI brand via the Sportsbook launch with ABG. This also included trademarks for online sports betting and igaming, and certain advertising and editorial integration rights on selected SI branded digital assets.

Sportsbook users will now have access to around 11,000 financial institutions in the US through Nuvei’s platform integration with Plaid.

“Providing customers with the most convenient, secure, and fast payment experience is at the core of what Nuvei does,” added Philip Fayer, Nuvei’s Chair and CEO.

“We are excited to partner with 888 to provide an iconic brand such as Sports Illustrated the ability to launch strong into the US sports betting and iGaming market, improving its player acquisition strategy through our best-in-class user experience, state-of-the-art risk management and instant payments.”

After its recent release in Colorado, the SI Sportsbook is expected to launch in Indiana, Iowa and New Jersey at a later date, with further states to follow.
