Capitalising on new opportunities: Altenar’s plans for 2022
As more of the world opens up to regulated sports betting, Altenar is confident that it can deliver a stand-out user experience for its customers across the world. That’s according to Domenico Mazzola, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Speaking to SBC, Mazzola highlighted some of the recently launched products that have been added to the Altenar portfolio, before explaining why the North American market presents a whole host of opportunities for the supplier.
SBC: So can you tell us a little bit about the improvements that your products have undergone?
Well, we have spent the last couple of years adding lots of innovation to the products that we have launched, and now it’s running at full speed. We recently unveiled the new version of our sportsbook, which allows our business partners to use a range of functionalities that are unique to the market.
In addition, we increased both the flexibility of our system as well as the speed. We were recently awarded a new ISO certification – we are constantly investing in certifications in licences to give our customers the confidence that our software can help fuel their successes.
SBC: And of these improvements, which are you most proud of?
We have spent a lot of resources on improving the user experience for the players that are using our systems. At Altenar, we are now working on releasing an hybrid mobile app, which will allow the customers to use any version of our software, with some additional functionalities, like the push notifications and a dedicated back office to check the user experience and the usability of the hub.
We also launched a Basketball Bet Builder so we keep pushing on innovation and on the sports side of our product.
SBC: In your opinion, what opportunities are there in the North American market for Altenar?
Well, we know that North American customers have a huge demand for sports betting. So definitely, the opportunities there are quite interesting. We are currently evaluating a couple of new and interesting plans for that market. At Altenar, we believe that that market in the future will be very, very interesting for everybody.
SBC: And finally, can you tell us a bit about your plans in 2022? Are there any new markets that are high on the agenda for you?
We are looking to strengthen our position in certain regulated markets like Italy, Spain, the UK and also in South America. We believe that we are representing the top one or two sports betting suppliers in those regions.
So as a market leader there, we’re trying to select interesting opportunities for us to expand our reach even further. I believe that by the end of 2022, we will be live with more customers in these regions.
