Finnish prospects and Brazilian growth catches Oddin.gg’s attention
Changing markets on opposite sides of the world continue to draw the attention of various gaming stakeholders, with Oddin.gg the latest to identify opportunities across two continents.
The B2B firm, which specialises in providing esports odds and related products, has announced twin achievements in Europe and South America, Finland and Brazil specifically.
In Finland, the firm seems to be shoring up its position ahead of the highly anticipated launch of a multi-licence regulated market in 2027, though its client is the state-owned firm Veikkaus Oy.
The deal will see Veikkaus leverage Oddin.gg’s esports tech and data to support the development of its own esportsbook product, with the operator having set itself the target of doubling revenue from this sector within a year. Counter Strike 2 is a key target product for the company.
AndreasReimblad, VP of Sports Betting at Veikkaus, said: “Esports have been an important part of Veikkaus’ portfolio for several years, but in recent years it has been challenging to deliver a truly competitive offering and experience.
“What we value most in Oddin.gg is their drive to continuously improve the product and customer experience, while already being in a leading position.
“Together, we can take esports betting at Veikkaus to the next level, and we are extremely excited to work together with Oddin.gg.”
Final days of Finnish monopoly
Although Veikkaus is expecting an influx of competition from 2027, the operator is welcoming the changes. The firm has held the monopoly on betting and gaming, as well as being the state lottery operator, for decades.
However, this is being threatened by offshore companies targeting Finland with unlicensed products, with the country’s channelisation rate being far lower than the government’s target of 90%.
The firm is likely hoping that by partnering with the likes of Oddin.gg, far from its first B2B partner, it will be able to stand out against both illegal offshore operators and the incoming licensed competition.
“What makes this partnership exciting is the mindset Veikkaus brings,” said Marek Suchar, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Oddin.gg.
“They’re serious about growing their esports offering and are already thinking beyond the basics—looking at things like local tournament data, new formats, and long-term product development.
“It’s the kind of collaboration where we can create something genuinely impactful—not just deliver and walk away.”
Brazil’s esports goldmine
Over 5,500 miles away in Brazil, the company has secured certification from Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), enabling the company to offer its esports iFrame in the market.
Brazil’s regulated market launched nine months ago, and has developed at pace to become one of the world’s largest as many expected. H2 tax returns from the sector alone were R$3.8bn (€685m).
Esports is particularly popular there, with some estimates putting South America’s largest nation as the fifth largest esports market in the world. It’s no surprise then that esports-oriented betting suppliers like Oddin.gg see a lot of potential in Brazil.
“Securing SY-711 certification for our iFrame means licensed operators in Brazil can now offer a fully compliant esports product that’s built to perform from day one,” said Juana Bischoff, Senior Business Development Manager LatAm at Oddin.gg.
“It opens the door to a younger generation of bettors who expect fast, interactive content — and gives operators the tools to meet that demand with confidence.
“With 24/7 betting options, built-in risk management, and a strong local appetite for titles like CS2 and eFootball, it’s a chance to grow sustainably while staying ahead of the regulatory curve. For anyone serious about the future of betting in Brazil, this is a key step.”
