From insights to engagement: The evolution of BETBY’s Betting Tips

Danil Emelyanov, Head of AI Labs at BETBY, introduces the sportsbook provider’s new solution of live  Betting Tips ahead of SBC Summit 2025 next week. Emelyanov also notes the evolution of its betting tips product as a global offering.

In sports betting, information is power. But raw data alone rarely excites bettors, it needs to be contextualised, simplified, and delivered at the right moment. This is precisely the challenge that BETBY’s Betting Tips set out to solve when first introduced.

Since then, it has grown into one of the most powerful engagement drivers in the industry, helping operators boost retention while providing players with a richer, more confident betting experience.

Turning Data into Actionable Insights

When BETBY launched its Betting Tips API, the vision was clear: to give players more than odds, to give them context. By combining sports data with the latest news, team statistics, and interesting facts, the tool transformed betting markets into informed choices.

The first iteration supported just a handful of languages — English, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish — and focused on popular sports such as football, basketball, baseball, hockey, cricket and tennis. Even then, its modular design made integration seamless for operators. Clients could customise everything from data structure to the actual phrasing of tips, while BETBY’s AI Labs ensured that new sports and languages could be added in record time.

This approach positioned Betting Tips as more than a content add-on, it became a conversion engine. Bettors who might hesitate before placing a wager suddenly had an extra layer of confidence, while operators benefited from more frequent betting activity.

Scaling Coverage and Markets

Building on early success, Betting Tips quickly expanded its scope. They began to cover more sports, each with multiple markets, and extended its coverage beyond just top-tier leagues. Unlike many providers that confine advice to mainstream competitions, BETBY opened the door to localised, lower-tier leagues, giving operators the flexibility to engage bettors in niche markets.

This wider coverage reflected the supplier’s strategy: not just to serve global operators but to help them localise content in ways that truly resonate with their audiences.

Esports Integration and Enhanced Quality

The next big step came with the introduction of industry-first esports insights. Major titles such as Counter-Strike were now covered with the same depth as traditional sports, cementing BETBY as the supplier with the widest betting tips coverage in the iGaming industry. Most recently, AI Labs also launched betting tips for Dota 2, timed ahead of The International, the game’s largest and most prestigious championship, another industry first that highlights BETBY’s ability to deliver relevant content right when players care about it most.

But just as important was the leap in quality. Around 99% of tips started to include a relevant supporting fact or statistic, making insights more actionable and reliable. This transformed Betting Tips from a “nice-to-have” feature into a trust-building mechanism between operator and player.

Multilingual support also grew significantly, reaching a total of 25 languages ranging from Arabic and Chinese to Hindi and Georgian. With esports attracting a diverse global audience, this linguistic breadth was essential for operators looking to capture and retain younger, digitally native bettors.

Real-Time Betting Tips

The upcoming SBC Summit 2025 marks another milestone: the launch of live Betting Tips. This industry-first feature reacts to in-game data and updates recommendations in real time. Instead of relying on pre-match analysis, players will receive advice that reflects the actual conditions of the match: momentum shifts, key injuries, or sudden tactical changes.

This evolution signals a shift from static insights to dynamic, real-time engagement. For bettors, it means advice that keeps pace with the thrill of the game. For operators, it’s a retention booster that encourages longer, more immersive betting sessions.

Measurable Impact on Engagement and Retention

And if there were still doubts, the success of Betting Tips is backed by data across BETBY’s operator network. Among players who placed their first Betting Tips-enhanced bets, nearly 40% are still actively using tips after 30 days. At the same time, around 20% of players demonstrate a clear preference for placing bets with betting tips rather than outcomes not supported with interesting facts about events.

The effect on betting activity is even more striking. On average, events enhanced with tips attract 91% more players compared to the same event where tips were turned off. When comparing the same events across brands with and without tips, the uplift is undeniable: operators see 126% more players and 160% more bets on events promoted with tips.

These numbers highlight a clear truth: Betting Tips doesn’t just improve player experience, it directly drives operator revenue by boosting activity, loyalty, and betting frequency.

Elevating the Betting Journey

From its launch as a multilingual tool to its expansion across esports, and now the leap into live betting recommendations, Betting Tips has continually evolved in step with the industry’s most pressing needs.

It has proven that bettors crave more than numbers, they want stories behind the statistics, whether that’s a striker’s scoring streak, a team’s defensive weaknesses, or an esports squad’s map dominance. By surfacing these insights at the right time, BETBY has given operators a tool that blends engagement with conversion.

As AI Labs prepares to unveil its latest innovations in Lisbon, Betting Tips stands as a prime example of how BETBY turns data into a competitive edge for operators and a more rewarding experience for players. The journey is far from over, but one thing is clear: informed betting is the future, and BETBY is leading the charge.
