OpenBet names Stewart Groumoutis VP to lead Canada commercial drive 

OpenBet has announced the appointment of Stewart Groumoutis as Commercial VP for Canada, expanding the sportsbook technology supplier business’ development resources within North America’s most nascent marketplace. 

An expert in Canadian gambling, Groumoutis joins OpenBet’s North American senior management team after formerly serving as Director of eGaming for the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).

During his tenure with BCLC, Groumoutis became familiar with OpenBet systems which served as the Columbia Lottery’s principal egaming technology partner.

In his new remit, Groumoutis will play a pivotal role in maximising OpenBet’s commercial opportunities within Canada, as further provinces follow Ontario’s lead and launch regulated marketplaces.

OpenBet has underlined its strong prospects in Canada, where further to its partnership with the BCLC, the company serves as principal technology partner for major lotteries including Atlantic Lottery, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) and Loto-Québec.
