SOFTSWISS marks industry-first with move into Brazilian lottery

Technology provider SOFTSWISS has joined the Associação Nacional de Jogos e Loterias (ANJL), becoming the first technology supplier to become an official member of Brazil’s National Association of Games and Lotteries.

The move marks an expansion of technology sector representation within ANJL, which represents licensed operators and key stakeholders across Brazil’s regulated betting and lottery market.

The association works with regulators and public authorities to support market integrity, compliance standards and sustainable industry development.

Alongside the membership announcement, Carla Dualib, Business Development Manager for Brazil at SOFTSWISS, has been appointed as Communications Director of ANJL. She joins the association’s board while continuing in her current role at the company.

“Brazil’s regulated market is entering a new phase where communication, collaboration, and shared standards matter more than ever,” Dualib said.

“ANJL plays an essential role in bringing the industry together, and I am honoured to contribute to initiatives that support responsible growth and a strong long-term market framework.”

In her new position, Dualib will oversee communications strategy and industry engagement, with a focus on strengthening dialogue between operators, suppliers and regulators. Her responsibilities include supporting transparent communication and reinforcing professional standards across Brazil’s regulated betting ecosystem.

She joined Malta-headquartered SOFTSWISS in 2023 and has played a central role in expanding the company’s presence in Brazil. With nearly 30 years of experience spanning marketing, sports and business development, she brings significant local market expertise to the association.

Plínio Lemos Jorge, President of ANJL, added: “We have been looking for this kind of expertise to strengthen our communications and industry engagement.

“Carla brings strong credibility in Brazil and a deep understanding of the market. Her role aligns with ANJL’s mission to support a transparent and sustainable regulated sector.”

SOFTSWISS surges in South America

SOFTSWISS’ membership reflects the increasing role of technology providers in regulated betting markets, particularly in jurisdictions such as Brazil, where regulatory frameworks have recently been formalised and industry infrastructure continues to evolve.

President Lula has raised “very serious concerns” about the gambling sector, but it reportedly generated over £5bn in its first full year in 2025.

SOFTSWISS, which has now been operating for 17 years, provides software solutions for over 1,200 brands worldwide, including casino platforms, sportsbook technology, game aggregation and affiliate management systems. It also produces market research and analysis.

The company has been expanding its presence across Latin America as newly regulated markets create opportunities for operators and technology providers.

Its representatives are scheduled to attend industry events in Brazil, including the SBC Summit Rio 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships and support operators in the market.

Earlier this month, it rolled out its TrueLabel platform, unlocking more market share in regulated jurisdictions.
