Sportradar’s Synergy signs multi-year agreement with Haarlem Baseball

Sportradar has signed its second partnership of this week, entering into an agreement with Netherlands-based bi-annual baseball tournament Haarlem Baseball Week (HRH).

The multi-year deal was signed between HRH and Sportradar’s subsidiary Synergy Sports, which will exclusively offer its technology, products and services to teams and players competing in the week-long tournament.

Synergy will record video content and gather and produce stats through their camera systems in order to deliver video scouting services from all fixtures. HRH teams will also have access to video database tools for game preparation as well as data and analysis of player and team performance.

Matthew Lawrence, Senior Director of Baseball, Synergy Sports at Sportradar, said: “Haarlem Baseball Week is an iconic international tournament and the addition of the advanced technological capabilities of Synergy Sports ensures its continued prominence on the global baseball calendar, while continuing our mission of providing the tools and resources that enable athletes and coaches to compete at the highest level.”

Synergy’s partnership with HRH will begin for the 2022 edition of the tournament, taking place between 8-15 July at the Pim Mulier Stadium, Haarlem, Netherlands – and will cover the next four editions of the series until 2030.

The deal is Sportradar’s second partnership secured this week, after the Swiss-based, New York Nasdaq-listed sportstech and data firm renewed its agreement with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), continuing to supply its InteractSport solution until 2024.

Additionally, the development also marks an expansion of the company’s presence in baseball – Sportradar most notable partnership in the sport commenced in 2019, when it entered into a betting data contract with Major League Baseball (MLB).

Guus van Dee, Haarlem Baseball Week Chairman, added: “We are very happy that we could sign our dream line-up for this special edition. We welcome them from all over the world. The partnership with Synergy Sports is a new enrichment for our level of organisation.”
