Stanleybet Romania migrates to Comtrade Gaming iCore platform

Comtrade Gaming has announced a major technology agreement where it will become the lead platform supplier of Stanleybet Romania.

A subsidiary of heritage pan-European gambling firm Stanleybet Group International, Stanleybet Romania will be serviced by a customised version of Comtrade Gaming’s iCore Platform.

By migrating onto the iCore platform, Stanleybet Romania’s retail and digital units will be bolstered by several omni-channel benefits, including real-time bonusing, dynamic customer segmentation, real-time push notifications and the use of enhanced customer engagement tools.

“We are very excited to be working with Stanleybet Romania. They have a great brand with a large retail footprint, and we look forward to helping them grow their online business,” remarked Comtrade Gaming CCO Steven Valentine.

Stanleybet Romania was amongst the first gambling firms to be granted an ONJN licence in 2004, which saw the company launch and expand its Romanian retail betting network to more than 300 shops.

In 2015, Stanleybet Romania launched its platform, allowing its customers to wager online. Following its digital launch, the platform was upgraded in 2018.

Csaba Tanko, CEO at Stanleybet Romania, commented on the new partnership: “We are delighted to use Comtrade Gaming’s technology, as we believe it is key to help us grow, shape our future, and at the same time provide our players with the best customer experience.

“We are more confident knowing they are taking care of our backend technology specific to our needs. This way, we will be able to focus more efficiently on marketing and increasing our market penetration”

The partnership will mean that Comtrade Gaming can extend its technology presence within Romania. The technology group had previously established its presence as the lead platform supplier to SuperBet, recognised as Romania’s leading online gambling brand – a technology partnership that was renewed in 2021.

Welcoming a new Romanian partner, Valentine added: “When someone decides to migrate their platform, they put a lot of trust in their existing business on you. We have shown on many occasions that we are the smart choice for a growing operator.

“Having done many Tier 1 migrations in the past, we have now made our iGaming Platform more accessible to small and mid-size operators who have outgrown their current solution.

Ongoing individual customization is the key to success, and typically that is only available to Tier 1 operators or ones with their own tech teams. With our flexible approach to individual client needs, we are a very reliable choice for operators looking to improve their platform technology.”
