STS recruits Jaroslaw Walaszek as CIO to strengthen proprietary tech focus  

STS Group has announced the appointment of Jaroslaw Walaszek as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), tasked with overseeing the strategic development of its proprietary technologies and product portfolio. 

Fresh to the igaming sector,  Walaszek joins STS from pan-European media conglomerate  Ringier Axel Springer Media AG, where he formally served as IT Development Director. 

Updating media, STS underscored Walaszek’s proven experience at delivering effective IT-led growth strategies for mass-market enterprises, having formerly led the ‘DreamLab’ tech unit of Ringier Axel Springer Media for over 16-years.

Closing 2021 trading, STS Holdings – the operating firm of STS –  secured a corporate valuation of + PLN 3.6 billion (circa €770m), as the founding Juroszek family floated a 30% shareholding on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE).

Group CEO Mateusz Juroszek deemed Walaszek’s appointment as integral to STS maintaining its status as a proprietary built firm competing across multiple markets.   

“We develop our product and technology internally and the STS team of specialists in these areas consists of approximately 160 persons. STS is not only a leader in its industry but also an attractive employer that attracts top talent,” he stated.

“The fact that Jarek Walaszek joins the group will allow us to build a completely new quality for customers in Poland and abroad. His experience will help make STS’s product and technology offer even more innovative and focused on mobile solutions.”
