888sport is sponsoring Neil Callan, two-time UK Champion Jockey runner-up, for the 2022 UK Flat season.   

The Gibraltar-based online gambling firm’s logo will be carried by Callan on his riding wear, and the jockey will also provide regular updates via a blog throughout the season. 

Kieran Spellman, VP Head of Sport at 888sport, stated: “888sport is delighted to be sponsoring Neil. He enjoyed a hugely successful career in Hong Kong and we are really looking forward to working with him and supporting him on his return to take on the new generation of UK and Irish flat racing stars.”

Often referred to as the ‘Iron Man’, the sponsee will also write an 888sport-branded column for The Sun and appear on TalkSPORT2, where the brand is the official betting partner.

“I’m delighted to be partnering with a brand like 888sport for the 2022 season,” Callan added. “I’ve really enjoyed my return to the UK and have built up some good relationships with a number of trainers. 

“I’m looking forward to a very busy season ahead and hope I can provide 888sport’s customers with some good insights along the way.”   

The Irish jockey spent 10 years in Hong Kong where he won £37.1m in prize money from over 4,000 rides, and he was also leading rider in Bahrain this winter.

Additionally, former jockey Barry Geraghty is a brand ambassador for 888sport and has stated that he will continue to represent the brand during the 2022/23 National Hunt season.
