Flashscore says ‘Czech-mate’ as global audience grows to 150m
Flashscore has proclaimed itself as the undisputed champion of live score audiences, reaching a new milestone in global user engagement.
In the month of October, Flashscore surpassed 155 million monthly active users and exceeded 400 million app downloads, consolidating its position as the world’s most-used and fastest-growing sports media platform.
The developer’s record-breaking performance was buoyed by the strategic integration of BeSoccer, which brought an additional 30 million new users and expanded Flashscore’s reach across key football markets.
The landmark performance followed the successful integration of BeSoccer, the Spanish football data and news hub acquired by Livesport last year. The merger added more than 30 million new users and significantly broadened Flashscore’s reach across major football markets in Europe and Latin America.
Flashscore CEO Pavel Krbec credited the milestone to sustained investment in technology, product innovation, and data infrastructure.
“All our investments in modern technology and product developments, as well as our daily work, are directed toward a single goal: providing key sports information to fans around the world at the moment they truly need it,” Krbec said.
“Surpassing the 155 million monthly-user milestone shows that our vision delivers clear results, and I have no doubt that we’ll raise the bar even higher in the year ahead.”
Czech-mate in 2025
Founded in 2006 by entrepreneurs Martin Hájek and Jiří Mareš, Flashscore began as a small live-score project under the Livesport brand in Prague. Two decades later, it has evolved into a global leader in sports data and instant results, transforming the way millions of fans follow their favourite teams and leagues.
From its beginnings covering just a handful of sports, Flashscore now delivers real-time match updates, statistics, and market data across 38 sports in more than 50 countries.
Livesport’s success is anchored in its expansion strategy and its growing media ecosystem. Alongside Flashscore, the group owns BeSoccer, Soccerway, and Tribal Football, combining to serve more than 155 million monthly users and exceed 400 million cumulative app downloads — a scale unmatched in live sports media.
A major part of this growth has come through the revamp of the Flashscore platform, which has been fully redesigned as the group’s flagship app and digital hub.
The refreshed interface places a greater focus on new personalisation features, live player tracking, and enhanced market-monitoring tools for betting audiences. Its new features include expanded live visualisation, real-time notifications, and deeper analytics across football, tennis, basketball markets.
BeSoccer boosts Classico engagements
The October surge in traffic was also driven by El Clásico, one of world football’s most watched fixtures. Flashscore and BeSoccer set a single-day record of 48.5 million users and 2.58 billion page views as Real Madrid defeated Barcelona in La Liga.
“When El Clásico was approaching, we saw it as an opportunity for Flashscore to shine,” Krbec noted. “That’s exactly what happened — 14.7 million people followed the match on our platform, making it the second most-watched game in our history.”
Reflecting on the first year under the Livesport umbrella, BeSoccer CEO Ana Chapado added: “One year under one roof with Flashscore highlights the strength of our football-focused platform and the power of joining forces with a global leader. Together, we’re building something truly special for football fans around the world.”
From Prague to São Paulo, Lagos to Los Angeles, its live-data ecosystem connects fans in every time zone — a reminder that one of the world’s most influential digital sports platforms was born quietly from a Czech start-up less than two decades ago.
