Genius Sports elevates betting data intelligence with new European Leagues Deal
Genius Sports proclaims that it has secured the deepest coverage of exclusive betting rights and content for European football.
The statement follows the NYSE sports and betting technology group reaching a multi-year agreement with the European Leagues Association (European Leagues), to onboard the GeniusIQ Platform for the data coverage of 18 ELA member leagues.
The partnership allows GeniusIQ to collect and distribute betting data from over 8,000 men’s and women’s matches across 46 sanctioned football competitions.
GeniusIQ betting data utilities will be made available for top European leagues including the Belgian Pro League, Dutch Eredivisie, Danish League, Greek Super League, Liga Portugal, and others.
European Leagues is the main representative body for professional football leagues across Europe. It speaks on behalf of its members on shared issues and represents most clubs in discussions about the professional football industry.
Alberto Colombo, General Secretary of the European Leagues, said: “As part of the continued evolution of the European Leagues, we are proud to have once again supported our members in their future business and commercial development.
“This landmark deal with Genius Sports reflects both the evolution of the sports data market but also the way technology will play an increasingly intertwined role in the way commercial deals come to fruition.”
Beyond betting data, the agreement will see Genius Sports deploy its cutting-edge AI Intelligence and tracking technology across stadiums in Europe.
Genius intelligence solutions have previously been integrated into competitions like the Premier League, Belgian Pro League, and Danish Superliga, the GeniusIQ system powers innovations in real-time performance analytics, officiating tools, and immersive fan engagement solutions.
The collaboration marks a significant step in redefining how leagues leverage data and AI to enhance the value of their media and betting rights. Genius Sports emphasised that the deal sets an industry precedent by blending exclusive content rights with forward-looking technological infrastructure.
Ready to provide innovation and intelligence for a new European football season, Steven Burton, Chief Partnerships Officer at Genius Sports, added: “This expanded partnership with the European Leagues significantly enhances the breadth and depth of official, premium data available to our sportsbook partners.
“More importantly, it reflects a fundamental shift in the rights model, where technology investment resets traditional frameworks and creates a longer runway for future sales and revenue opportunities.”
