Low6 bolsters app portfolio with European Tour Picks
Low6 has signed its second official golf partnership after signing a new deal and app release with the European Tour.
The pick’em app, European Tour Picks, was released on 6 October and will give away cash prizes across each of the four days of the ACCIONA Open de Espana.
Chris Hector, Low6 Commercial Director, said: “Low6 are delighted to be working with the European Tour. Golf is a key pillar of the Low6 strategy, so it is a great opportunity for both Low6 and the European Tour to be able to enhance the digital experience of golf fans via European Tour Picks.”
Throughout the game, players must answer a set of questions which include the outright winner of the tournament, who will make the most birdies and who will hit the longest drive for that day’s play.
Each correct score accumulates points; the higher the number of points scored, the further up the leaderboard the player can move.
“We are always looking at ways to enhance the fan experience and golf, with the amount of data available on every shot on every hole, offers a wealth of opportunity for gaming,” added Guy Kinnings, Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer of the European Tour.
“Low6 was a natural partner as we launched our first ever pick’em app because of the number of sporting organisations it already works with. We look forward to offering exciting prize funds to lucky winners this week.”
The partnership with the European Tour follows on from an announcement this week which saw Low6 announced as the official supplier for PointsBet, who will be providing the PGA Tour with its bespoke free-to-play contest tailored to the US market.
Stuart Martin, Head Of Sport at Low6, concluded: “We are really excited about the launch of European Tour Picks and we look forward to a fruitful partnership, starting at this week’s ACCIONA Open de Espana in Spain.”
