Rank Group names new CCO amid wider leadership transition
LSE-listed Rank Group Plc has appointed Jenny Blogg as its new Chief Commercial Officer, with the former Allwyn UK Operations Director set to take up the role on 16 March.
The appointment comes amid a leadership shake-up at the Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo owner, with CEO John O’Reilly announcing his intention to retire last month and John H. Ott replacing Alex Thursby as Chair in November 2025.
Blogg brings more than 25 years of commercial leadership experience across the retail, food, and gambling sectors.
At National Lottery operator, Allwyn UK, she led the retail, contact centre, draw operations, winner services and customer experience teams over a two year period.
Prior to that, she held director roles at Camelot UK, which was previously the National Lottery operator. Blogg is also a Founding Member of Chief – a private network designed to drive women into leadership positions.
Earlier on in her career, she spent time in senior roles at retail giants such as Mondelēz International and Cadbury.
In her role, she will have responsibility for driving the cross-channel customer experience across Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casinos.
“The opportunity to join Rank at this stage of the growth story has been irresistible,” said Blogg.
“With strong brands and clear levers to drive growth across the group, I am confident that my track record of delivering results will fit extremely well with the ambitions that Richard has outlined.”
A period of transition at Rank Group
The appointment comes at a time of change for the FTSE 250 firm, as it looks to replace industry veteran John O’Reilly after nearly eight years as CEO.
In an exclusive interview with iGaming Expert, he expressed confidence in the “battle-hardened” team and admitted that it would be “hard to find a better candidate (for the CEO role)” than current CFO Richard Harris.
Harris has been with the Berkshire-headquartered company since 2022 and is currently serving as interim CEO.
On Blogg’s appointment, he said: “Jenny is an outstanding leader and brings significant corporate experience in delivering successful results in high profile organisations.
“She joins us at an exciting time as we focus on delivering operating profit for the group of at least £100m in the medium term.
“With her commercial expertise, I am confident she will be a great addition to our strong executive team and I look forward to welcoming her to Rank next month.”
Blogg joins a company which recently reported strong growth for the second half of 2025, with total digital revenue for the six months ending 31 December 2025 coming in at £123.8m, compared to £120.2m in the same period the previous year.
Total operating profits grew year-on-year from £33m to £40.6m and Rank Group has intentions to grow this to £100m in the medium term, but it may be impacted by ongoing tax and statutory levy developments in its home market.
Remote gaming duty in the UK will increase from 21% to 40% in April this year, but O’Reilly previously stated that the business will “respond with agility” to future incoming headwinds.
