SBK launches SBK Betting Zone to boost pre-Cheltenham content

SBK has announced the launch of the SBK Betting Zone, a new content hub combining writers, brand ambassadors, podcasts and previews.

The Smarkets-powered sportsbook has moved to bolster the range of content available to its customers via the new product, which will focus on highlighting the app’s odds to provide “insights, betting ups, and previous”.

This will feature contributions from a variety of sporting writers, coupled with the firm’s portfolio of horse racing brand ambassadors including jockeys Sean Levey and Nicola Currie – who joined the company last September – as well as Tom Bellamy, and trainer George Boughey.

“We’re really excited to further scale up our content offering with the launch of the SBK Betting Zone,” said Adam Baylis, Head of Customer Marketing at, Smarkets.

“This gives us another platform to provide our users with the latest tips and insight which they can combine with our market-leading odds.”

Additionally featured are podcasts, including an ‘in-depth’ audio preview of the upcoming Cheltenham Festival, which will be coupled with pre-event written content.

Lastly, Jess Stafford of Racing TV will host the primary podcast, the SBK Betting Podcast, with added contributions from Ross Millar and James Millman and the operator’s in-house tipster Tom Collins.

Baylis continued: “You can expect to see exclusive content from our brand ambassadors as well as a wider offering of podcast and video content in the coming months.”

The new offering represents another move made by Smarkets to strengthen its provision of wagering, sports and horse racing content, following on from the launch of the Smarkets News site, which provides updates from the operator’s betting exchange.
